June to October is the best time to catch big fish, but Gallo from 20 to 80 pounds are caught all year. Wait, because these guys are strong. To find them, search for your bait near the coastal rocks, reefs, and in the surf. It can be taken with lures, spoons, Ballyhoo platforms on the fly, or using a winch or a planer.
Several species of snapper are also present in the Pacific. Snapper Cubera between 50 and 80 pounds are common. They are caught throwing bait into the rock and reef or slow trolling live bait in the same area. They can be taken with lures and poppers if you are lucky.
They are known to break the line, so put down to its drag and reel as fast as possible to connect before returning on the rocks.
